What we collect, and when

We only collect what a specific action needs.

When you place an order

• Your name, mobile number and, if you give one, your email address.
• For delivery: governorate, city, street, and optionally building, apartment, landmark and any note you write for the courier.
• What you ordered, the prices at the time, and the payment method you chose.
• Your IP address, recorded with the order.

When you pay

• Cash or card on delivery: nothing extra. The courier handles payment and we never see card details.
• InstaPay: the transfer reference you send us, so we can match your payment to your order.
• Card or wallet: the payment is handled entirely by Paymob. Card numbers are never sent to us and never stored by us. We keep only the transaction identifier Paymob returns.

When you create an account

• Name, email, mobile number, and a password we store only as an Argon2id hash. We cannot read your password and cannot recover it, only reset it.
• Any addresses you save, and any products you save as favourites.
• The IP address and browser identifier attached to each active session, so a session can be identified if it is misused.

When you contact us or write a review

• Contact form: name, email, mobile number, subject, message, and your IP address, which we keep to spot bursts of form spam.
• Reviews: your rating, text, an optional photo, and the name on your account. Only customers with a delivered order for that product can review it.

What we do not collect

• No advertising or cross-site tracking. There are no third-party advertising scripts on this site.
• No analytics of any kind at the time of writing. If that changes, this document changes with it.
• Fonts are bundled with the site rather than loaded from Google, so browsing here sends nothing to Google.

Why we hold it

• To fulfil your order: your name, phone and address exist so your equipment reaches you and so we can call before delivery.
• To honour warranties: we keep what you bought and when, so a warranty claim can be checked against a real purchase.
• To reduce fraud on cash-on-delivery orders: we count how many orders a phone number has open, whether previous deliveries were refused, and whether an address has recently been used by a different number. This produces a score a member of staff may review before dispatch. No order is ever refused by that score alone without a person deciding.
• To keep accounts secure: session records and failed sign-in counts exist to detect misuse.

Who else sees it

• Cloudflare Turnstile runs the "are you human" check on checkout, sign-in, the contact form and reviews. Cloudflare receives your IP address for that check.
• Paymob receives your name, email, phone and address only if you choose to pay by card or wallet, because the payment cannot be processed without them.
• Our email provider handles order confirmations and account emails.
• Couriers receive the name, phone and address needed to deliver your order.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

• Orders: kept as a commercial and warranty record. Order lines are frozen at purchase and are not rewritten when the catalogue changes.
• Sessions: a sign-in expires after 15 minutes and is renewed automatically; the renewal token lasts 30 days. Ended sessions are deleted after 14 days.
• Password reset links: 30 minutes, single use.
• Backups: encrypted, kept 14 days, then deleted.
• Contact messages and reviews: kept while they are useful to answer or display.

Cookies and local storage

We set no advertising or tracking cookies. What we do set:

• vt_at and vt_rt: your sign-in. Both are httpOnly, so no script can read them.
• vt-locale: remembers whether you read the site in Arabic or English.
• In your browser's local storage: your cart, your comparison list, your theme choice, and your recent searches. These stay on your device. Your cart holds only product identifiers and quantities, never prices, which is why the total is always recalculated by us.

Your rights

Under Egyptian law you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to info@viptechsolutions.net and we will respond within 30 days. Some records must be kept for tax and warranty purposes even after a deletion request; if that applies we will say so and explain why.

Security

Traffic is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. Sessions use httpOnly cookies rather than browser storage, so a script injected into a page cannot steal one. Uploaded images are re-encoded and stripped of embedded location data before storage. Access to customer records is limited by role and checked on every request.
